COVID-19 cases are once again surging across the state.
Governor Sisolak expressed fears that his "Stay at Home 2.0" request isn't working based on the "disturbing upward trajectory of COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations."
The task force said that the hospitalization statistics in the state are the highest that they have ever been, reports News 3.
On Tuesday, the state said that Nevada saw its highest number of COVID-19 patients since the onset of the pandemic.
This data came a week into the Stay at Home 2.0 order. Sisolak begged Nevada residents to stay at home to stop the spread. He warned that restrictive actions may be necessary is the numbers continue to rise.
According to experts, the odds aren't looking good.
The Governor emphasized that he doesn't want to have to have to shut down the economy, unless it's absolutely necessary.
He said, "Everything is weighing into the decision that we have to make. It's very, very difficult. I don't want to put any more stress on our unemployment system, or our families who are working minimal hours."
Sisolak says that he will provide an update about any restrictions very soon.
