Las Vegas is known as "Sin City" and according to a Wallethub study, it's definitely living up to that name.
Wallethub recently compared more than 180 cities to determine the most sinful cities in America and Las Vegas took the top spot.
Las Vegas took the top spot in several categories including most adult entertainment establishments per capita and most tanning salons per capita.
Las Vegas wasn't the only city in Nevada to make the list.
North Las Vegas came in at number 19, Henderson was number 38, and Reno was number 49.
Here are the top ten most sinful cities on the list:
- Las Vegas, NV
- Los Angeles, CA
- St. Louis, MO
- Houston, TX
- Atlanta, GA
- Miami, FL
- Philadephia, PA
- Denver, CO
- Washington, D.C.
- New York, NY
To determine the list, Wallethub compared 182 cities across seven key dimensions: anger and hatred, jealousy, excesses and vices, greed, lust, vanity, and laziness.
The seven key dimensions were then examined using 32 relevant metrics including violent crimes, thefts per 1,000 residents, share of obese adults, casinos per capita, adult entertainment establishments per capita, tanning salons per capita, and share of adults not exercising.
