Katy Perry has been glowing since becoming a new mother and the pop star's latest look is a throwback back to her early days.
On Monday (December 14), Perry, 36, took to Instagram to share photos of her with her go-to jet black hairstyle with sharp bands, a look she rocked frequently during her "I Kissed a Girl" days. Wearing a pink and black tiger-striped dress with arm-length leather gloves and matching boots, the star looked confident as ever as she nodded to her career origins. "MOTHER," she captioned the multi-photo post.
Perry's makeup artist, Michael Anthony, spoke about working on the look for the pop star via his own Instagram feed. "A lesson in Time Bending... I did a soft feathered brow, a pop of cool pink on the cheek & Pink Cherry lips for Katy's signature BEAUTY!!" he wrote, adding that Perry's hairstylist Rick Henry used a wig from San Diego-based brand What Wigs. The spot was founded by hairstylist Noah Scott and has provided wigs for the likes of Khloé Kardashian and Ariana Grande.
Earlier this month, Perry got candid about her transition into motherhood with her daughter, Daisy Dove Bloom. "I’m a new mother. My daughter, she’s such a gift, but there is sometimes a challenge concerning sleep. No matter how much support you have," the star admitted during the Meditate America Benefit and Concert virtual event. "But where am I going to get those six hours that I used to get? Where did it go?"
