Man Injured After Being Thrown Into Garbage Truck; Driver Heard Screaming

A homeless man that was asleep in a dumpster was thrown into the back of a garbage truck, resulting in minor injuries.

According to San Antonio police, the incident happened around 5:15 a.m. on Monday after the garbage truck picked up the trash behind a KFC in the 8200 block of Bandera Road on the Northwest side.

The man that had been sleeping in the dumpster was picked up and thrown into the back of the garbage truck, according to police.

According to KSAT, the driver of the truck pulled over after he heard the man screaming from the inside of truck's garbage compactor.

The driver immediately called the police for help. They found the man trapped in the back of the truck.

The man was taken to University hospital where he was treated for minor injuries.

Police said that the accident is being ruled as an accident.

The driver of the garbage truck is not expected to face any charges relating to the incident.

The man's condition is currently unknown at this time.
