The holidays, like many traditions and annual events, is going to be different this year. The threat of COVID-19 has change people's plans for observing Christmas, but that doesn't mean you should put away your Christmas spirit for next year.
In fact, WalletHub conducted a study to see which U.S. cities are great for safe and affordable celebrations in 2020. Researchers looked at the "100 biggest U.S. cities based on 15 key indicators," from traditions and generosity to safety and coronavirus cases.
Only one Oregon city made it on the list, but it placed in the Top 10. And that honor goes to Portland!
The City of Roses came in at the No. 8 spot. Portland also seems intent to keep the holidays safe this year since they ranked at No. 4 for safety, according to the study.
Oregon wasn’t alone when it came to one featured city. Washington state had one city make the list, and that was Seattle. Meanwhile, California clocked in over 15 cities among the rankings. Nevada had four cities ranked, including Las Vegas and Reno.
