Roy Waller, a convicted serial rapist known as the "NorCal Rapist," has been sentenced to a total of 898 years in prison.
Waller was sentenced to 459 years plus 438 years to life in prison, in a Sacramento courtroom on Friday, December 18, according to CBS13.
On November 18, Waller was convicted of 46 criminal counts stemming from nine rape incidents between 1991 and 2006. His most recent attacks took place in Sacramento.
Some of his victims were present in the courtroom to issue statements.
"He should experience the barbaric sense of time around him, knowing that his fate will set me free for good," said one victim, Nicole Earnest-Payte.
According to his accusers, Waller broke into their homes late at night or forced them to withdraw money from ATMs. They say he would then bind them and assault them repeatedly.
Waller was linked to his crimes through DNA and genetic genealogy, reports CBS13.
This is the same technique used by investigators to identify the Golden State Killer after 40 years on the run. He was sentenced to life in prison back in August.
Waller pleaded not guilty to the charges in January but Judge Burger-Plavan ruled there was enough evidence presented in the preliminary hearing and proceeded with the trial.
