Lana Del Rey Explains Why She's Been Wearing An Arm Sling

Lana Del Rey is warning her fans not to look too deeply into the symbolism of her wearing an arm sling in an upcoming music video.

On Sunday (December 27), the "Let Me Love You Like a Woman" singer took to Instagram to explain why she's been sporting a sling in recent days.

"When you see my second video for this album, don’t think that the fact I’m wearing a cast is symbolic for anything other than thinking I was still a pro figure skater," Lana captioned an Instagram post that showed her wearing the arm sling. "I wiped out on my beautiful skates before the video even began after a long day of figure eights and jumps in the twilight of the desert." She added, "Anyways my fracture isn’t that bad kind of goes with my new bucket hat. Thanks to my beautiful family for my gifts."

The Instagram post also included shots of what appeared to be were Lana's Christmas gifts: a Joan Baez's 1975 album Diamonds & Rust, a collection of Norman Rockwell magazine covers, and a Sweet Valley High pen pad.

As fans know, LDR is preparing to release her next studio album, Chemtrails Over the Country Club. The 35-year-old recently previewed a video for the title track that is set to drop on January 11.

Back in October, Lana released the LP's lead single, "Let Me Love You Like a Woman."
