Florida authorities said they found a hidden underground bunker in the state this month. It's also on the property of a child pornography suspect, according to Local 10.
On December 16, the Walton County Sheriff's Office Special Victim's Unit executed a search warrant at 57-year-old Marty Scott Bass's home. He's accused of making child porn of children between 8 and 10 years old.
The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children got a tip, which led authorities to the suspect's property. Bass came to the door with a shotgun as officers tried serving the warrant, according to officials. After several commands from a SWAT team, he put down the firearm.
Walton County deputies said over 100 child porn images were found on Bass' cellphone, some produced by him, along with a secret bunker underneath a shed. "According to authorities, the bunker’s entrance was disguised as a bench, which was located in the shed adjacent to the home. When authorities lifted the bench, they found a hole leading underground," reporters said.
Bass was taken into custody in lieu of a $1 million bond. He faces 100 counts of possession of child pornography and 10 counts of the production of child pornography.
