Nick Jonas In Talks To Play Frankie Valli In 'Jersey Boys' Streaming Event

Nick Jonas is reportedly in discussions to play Frankie Valli in an upcoming streaming event performance of Jersey Boys.

Deadline published the report on Monday (January 11), with sources telling the outlet that the event will be produced by Graham King (Bohemian Rhapsody) and the Tony Award-winning production’s original producers, the Dodgers, with Valli and Bob Gaudio. “Jonas will sing the song catalog that Valli and the Four Seasons built up in a show that traces his origins from Newark to the top of the charts in the ’60s,” according to Deadline.

As per the synopsis, Jersey Boys chronicles the creation, rise, fall, and coming-apart of a 1960s rock 'n' roll quartet, The Four Seasons — accompanied by their Golden Oldies hit parade — in which each member of the band recounts his own section (or season): spring (Tommy DeVito), summer (Gaudio), fall (Nick Massi) and winter (Valli).

For those who don’t know, the 28-year-old singer began acting in theatre at the age of seven, starring in productions like A Christmas Carol, Annie Get Your Gun, Beauty and the Beast, and Les Miserables. His final stage performance was in 2012’s How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.

Apart from being one of three Jonas Brothers members, Jonas has starred in several major motion pictures including Goat, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, Midway and he is expected to appear in this year’s science-fiction adventure film, Chaos Walking.
