Peet's Coffee To Open First Fresno Location

Peet's Coffee & Tea will soon have its first franchise location in Fresno.

After fifty-five years the Bay Area coffee company will open its Fresno location in about three or four months, according to GV Wire's Jim Jakobs.

The coffee shop will be located at the former Bullard Pharmacy in northwest Fresno. One of the pharmacy's former customers, Sabrina Rotellini, is now the owner of the location and has a store called The Post.

Currently, the Post sells gifts, home decor, specialty foods, plus cards, and functions as a USPS. Now, it will also operate as a coffee shop.

"I'll serve basically everything that they sell at a regular Peet's Coffee and Tea," Rotellini told GV Wire.

When Rotellini approached Peet's Coffee and Tea representatives about her vision, they moved on it quick.

"I think that they know they'll have a huge following in Fresno and people are kind of just waiting for them to come," said Rotellini.

Employees at the new Fresno Peet's will be trained by representatives of the company based in Emeryville.

"I think people are ready for a change and to see something different here and also in a store where you can send out your mail, get gifts and also buy coffee at one time," said Rotellini.

She said the hours will coincide with the store's 9:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. hours but she may open up sooner for the early morning crowd.
