With COVID-19 vaccines rolling out and news about more in production, people are itching to get back to normalcy. During lockdowns, Americans had to cancel plans or deal with traditional activities being halted or shut down. One of the biggest things that people miss is traveling to amazing places across both in the United States and in the world.
If you're looking to take a trip in the near future, Travel & Leisure made a list of the "50 Best Places to Travel" in 2021." One spot in the Sunshine State made it on the list, too!
According to the website, you may want to set your sights on the Florida Middle Keys. Adam Erace, who wrote the section on this area in the Keys, said it's "the closest you can get to a Caribbean vacation without leaving the continental U.S." Erace also highlighted the beautiful ecosystems, stargazing walks at Hawk's Cat, Turtle Hospital on Marathon and Keys Fisheries.
A couple notable places were mentioned, and they're areas Florida shares with other states: the Sea Islands and the Gulf Coast!
