Hunger can make people do some strange things, like steal an ambulance to go on a fast food run.
That's what happened in Houston, Texas, on Thursday night when paramedics were responding to a service call, according to the Houston Police Department.
Paramedics were sent to an apartment complex in southwestern Houston shortly after 9 p.m. As paramedics were working, a man jumped in the ambulance and drove off.
Police were able to track down the stolen ambulance through its GPS. The driver also made their job easier because the ambulance's emergency lights were still on.
Officers found the vehicle in the drive-thru lane of a Jack In The Box while the man was ordering food, according to police.
The fast food joint is less than five miles away from where the ambulance was stolen.
Police were able to arrest the alleged driver, who was later identified as Renaldo Dechaume Leonard. He is faces a felony theft charge.
No one was injured in the incident. Police didn't say if the man ever got his order.
