World's Largest Biker Bar To Open Distillery In Estes Park

The largest biker bar in the world will be opening up a distillery in Estes Park, according to Estes Park Trail-Gazette.

During a Facebook Live broadcast from downtown Estes Park, it was announced last week that the Full Throttle Saloon will be opening a distillery on Elkhorn Avenue soon.

The Saloon in Sturgis, South Dakota is known for being the largest biker bar in the world, sitting on 30 acres of land. The annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally takes place there every August.

The bar first gained recognition for its self-titled reality show that was on the air from 2009 to 2015. The show ended when the original Saloon was destroyed in a fire. Ballard rebuilt the Saloon on 600 acres in Vale, South Dakota.

The Facebook Live video features Full Throttle Saloon owner Michael Ballard.

"I am in Estes Park, Colorado right now and we have been down here now for the past few days … I just bought this building here right behind me,” says Ballard. “We’re going to be putting a Full Throttle Distillery in right here in downtown Estes Park.”

The building Ballard refers to in the video is currently known as Bob and Tony's Pizza.

The owners of the pizzeria confirmed the purchase on their Facebook page writing, "Just want to thank everyone that supported Bob and Tony’s Pizza and my family for the last 22 years! Happy to hand the baton to Michael Ballard of Full Throttle Saloon and his crew.”
