Ohioans can start getting COVID-19 vaccinations at select Marc’s Pharmacy locations statewide, the company announced.
Vaccines will be available to those who are eligible. Appointments can be booked online, Newsweek reported Wednesday (February 3).
"Per the direction of the Ohio Department of Health, Marc's Pharmacy can only vaccinate individuals based on their age, Marc’s stated. “This week we are vaccinating 70 and older only. If you schedule an appointment and fall below the age restriction, the appointment will be cancelled.”
“All those in 1A and those with developmental or intellectual disabilities are instructed to reach out to their local board of health or board of developmental disabilities to be vaccinated,” the company continued. “K-12 school employees should check with their school or school district for details about when and where they will receive their vaccinations.”
Marc’s offers a link for those eligible for the vaccine to continue to book an appointment.
Availability depends on how many vaccine doses are allocated to each site, so officials recommend checking for updates frequently, Marc’s states.
The Ohio Department of Health has recorded more than 906,000 total cases of COVID-19 as of Wednesday. Nearly 47,000 Ohioans have been hospitalized because of the virus, according to state data.
