A pair of armed robbers used aggressive tactics to steal unknown amounts of money from three metro-area banks on Monday and Tuesday (February 8 - 9).
Now, the Federal Bureau of Investigation is on the hunt for the two robbers.
"In each robbery, the suspects took-over the bank and held bank employees and customers at gunpoint before fleeing," said the FBI in a press release on Wednesday, February 10.
Footage released by the FBI shows two black men with thin builds wearing ski masks and baseball caps. The two men are suspected to be responsible for robbers at three different banks.
Two robberies took place Monday, February 8, at two separate Key Bank locations. The first at 12101 East Dartmouth Avenue in Aurora and the second at 16796 East Smoky Hill Road in Centennial.
The third happened on Tuesday, February 9, at the BBVA Compass Bank at 8101 East Belleview in Denver.
The FBI's Denver office spokesperson, Courtney Bernal, told CBS4 there has been a slight increase in the number of bank robberies over the past several weeks. However, the overall pace still matches an average year.
Bernal said the office investigates around 120 bank robberies a year.
A $2,000 reward is being offered for any information that leads to an arrest.
