AZ Man Suing Las Vegas Hypnotist, Says He Was Injured While In A Trance

A Las Vegas tourist is suing a local entertainer, claiming he was injured while under a trance at the Marc Savard Hypnotist Show in 2019.

Kevin Casselbury, of Scottsdale, Arizona, filed a lawsuit in Clark County district Court last week against Savard, along with his company, the V Theater Group, and Miracle Mile Shops, where he performs. The Planet Hollywood Resort, which has produced the show since 2007, was also named in the lawsuit.

The show includes having volunteers go onto the stage to be hypnotized for the entertainment of the other spectators.

It is believed that Casselbury was one of the spectators that volunteered to go on stage for the hypnosis.

According to the complaint, the hypnotist failed to mention 'an unreasonably dangerous condition existed' inside the theater.

According to Daily Mail, the lawsuit is seeking $47,000 in medical costs for the injuries that Casselbury sustained while under hypnosis at the Planet Hollywood Hotel and Resort. The lawsuit, however, doesn't explain exactly how Casselbury came to be injured during the show.

According to the Las Vegas Review Journal, Casselbury's attorney, Leila Hale, wrote, "Defendants negligently failed to control, supervise and maintain the premises inside the theater, which resulted in Mr. Casselbury's injuries."
