Prince William Is 'Shocked’ By Prince Harry’s Behavior Toward The Queen

Last week, Buckingham Palace confirmed Prince Harry and Meghan Markle would not be returning as senior working members of the Royal Family. Via a statement from the Palace, Queen Elizabeth said: "While all are saddened by their decision, The Duke and Duchess remain much-loved members of the family."

Shortly after Queen Elizabeth shared her official statement on the matter publicly, Harry and Meghan released one of their own in response. The couple said they "remain committed to their duty and service to the U.K. and around the world, and have offered their continued support to the organizations they have represented regardless of official role. We can all live a life of service. Service is universal."

According to a Page Six source, Harry and Meghan's statement didn't sit well with Prince William. The Duke of Cambridge is believed to be “really sad and genuinely shocked” by his brother's actions, which William finds “insulting and disrespectful” toward their grandmother, Queen Elizabeth.

William wasn't the only one upset by the reply, either. Other members of the family were reportedly “stunned” by Harry and Meghan’s reply, which clapped back at the Palace's suggestion that they could no longer be of public service.

“Once he got over the anger of how things happened, he was left with the absence of his brother,” an aide at the palace told the outlet of William's reaction. “They had shared everything about their lives — an office, a foundation, meetings together most days — and there was a lot of fun along the way. He’ll miss it forever.”

Not only is William upset by Harry's recent actions, but he also “definitely feels the pressure now it’s all on him" without Harry aound. "His future looks different because of his brother’s choices — it’s not easy.”

A mutual friend of the brothers, however, told Page Six the situation isn't actually as dire as it all sounds. “I know things are desperately sad and bad, but when the chips are down, those brothers will be there for each other," the source insisted.
