Colorado Man Creates Website To Help People Find Vaccine Appointments

A local Colorado man has created a website that helps people find COVID-19 vaccine appointments in their area.

Nick Muerdter build the website during this free time in order to make it easier for people to track down vaccine appointment times at pharmacies, according to FOX31.

The website is called the Colorado Covid-19 Vaccine Finder. According to the website, information on which locations are offering vaccine appointments gets updated every minute.

Muerdter spoke with FOX31 about creating the website in his downtime when he's not working at the National Renewable Energy Lab.

"After hearing from some coworkers on the struggles of finding vaccine appointments in Colorado for their parents and other people that they care about, this came as an idea to hopefully make finding vaccine appointments easier."

The website walks visitors through two steps. One, reviewing their eligibility for the vaccine and their county's availability. After that information is given, people can use Muerdter's tool to browse through all of the available appointments in their area.

Pharmacies at stores like CVS, Safeway, Sam's Club, Pharmaca, Walgreens, and Walmarts across Colorado are scanned on a regular basis to find the information.

Muerdter hopes the online resource makes the process slightly less frustrating for those looking to get vaccinated.
