Western Washington May Get A More Damp Spring This Year, Forecasters Say

After heavy rainfall and frigid snowstorms earlier this year, some Washington residents are looking forward to more sunshine and warmth. While they are getting that beautiful weather this week, forecasters said spring could be more damp than usual, according to KOMO.

The Climate Prediction Center said the Pacific Northwest could see cooler-than-normal weather during March, April and May.

"For example, that could mean: instead of the 50s in March, we could have some days in the 40s. Instead of the 60s in late April, we could have some days in the low 50s," reporters wrote. Weather experts predict more frequent showers or rainstorms coming through the area, as well.

Forecasters also wanted to point out these predictions are highly subject to change. Some say there could be warm, dry and sunny stretches this spring, too.

"We could have some days, a couple days in a row where we see temperatures in the 70s, maybe in the 80s and sunshine," according to Meteorologist Justin Pullin at the National Weather Service.
