Dua Lipa is a natural talent!
As part of evian’s “Drink True” campaign, which "celebrates authenticity, transparency, and honesty," the British singer-songwriter showed off her incredible vocal abilities, performing a stripped-back a capella version of her hit single “Levitating” in a new commercial for the water brand.
The 81-second advertisement finds Dua gearing up for a show in an empty theater. As she makes her way through soundcheck, Lipa busts out with a stripped-down rendition of “Levitating.”
Dua spoke about the importance of being her authentic self in a behind-the-scenes clip from the making of the ad. “Individualism is what makes us so special," she said. "We should be so accepting of ourselves and of others and our authenticity, which also comes naturally to us. The world is a much more beautiful place when we embrace our true selves."
Dua added in a statement, “I had so much fun filming the new Drink True ad for evian. Stripping everything back to a beautiful and calm flow felt refreshingly different. It’s not often I get the chance to pause and sing my music a cappella, so I hope the fans enjoy it."
"Being part of this campaign means a lot to me; I have always found that being true to myself is extremely empowering and I love that it is important to evian as well," she shared.
Dua was announced as the new global ambassador of evian in July 2020. She is the first female music artist to join the evian team.
