More appointments became available to get the COVID-19 in Oregon thanks to a partnership, according to KATU.
Eligible residents can now schedule a vaccine appointment at any Walmart pharmacy in Oregon while supplies last. Available appointments will appear on the online Walmart scheduler; click here to view it. You can also schedule an appointment with Bi-Mart, but they also stress that supply is limited.
"We expect a more significant shipment of vaccine in the next few weeks at which time many more will be able to be vaccinated. As we await that shipment, we appreciate your patience and understanding," a Bi-Mart spokesperson said.
Officials said Oregon received over 34,000 doses of the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine, allocating 15,400 doses to pharmacies through a state partnership. The rest of the doses "will go to OHSU’s drive-thru vaccination site at PDX, adult foster homes, and other 'hard to reach' populations like inmates and people experiencing homelessness," reporters wrote.
The state doesn't expect more Johnson & Johnson doses to come in until the last week of May.
