Britney Spears went in front of a judge on Thursday and asked to end her 13-year conservatorship, reported BuzzFeed.
She said in her testimony:
"I just want my life back. It's been 13 years and it's enough. It's been a long time since I've owned my money and it's my wish and my dream for all of this to end."
Many celebrities have spoken out in support of Britney, including Halsey, Brandy, Mariah Carey, and Khloé Kardashian. The three took to social media to show their full support of her.
Halsey wrote on Twitter:
"Bless Britney and I hope with my whole heart she is awarded freedom from this abusive system. She deserves it more than anything. I admire her courage speaking up for herself today."
Brandy said she is sending all of her love and support out to Britney, along with her fans.
Mariah Carey urged the pop star to stay strong.
Khloé Kardashian said that "no one should be treated like this" and ensured Britney Spears that she deserves better.
Many other celebs showed support as well. Most of them simply tweeting out the Free Britney hashtag.
