Jennifer Lopez has reportedly been invited to attend the Met Gala 2021, as per Page Six.
According to the celebrity gossip outlet, Lopez, Rihanna and Lupita Nyong'o have all been thrown out as early invitees to the pop culture extravaganza, which will take place on September 13. Among the other guests rumored to have received invites include Emily Ratajkowsk and Camila Cabello. When it comes to Lopez, folks have wondered whether she'd bring Affleck as her date for their red carpet comeback since getting back together. Lopez is no stranger to the carpet. She first attended in 2004 and has attended 2006-2008, 2010, 2011, 2013, 2015 and 2017-2019.
This year's festivities are making sure to be mindful of safety precautions. A spokesperson for the Met told the Daily Beast that attendees must provide proof of vaccination. “Currently, all attendees at The Met Gala on September 13 must provide proof of full vaccination and will also be expected to wear masks indoors except when eating or drinking. We will update these guidelines as needed," the rep said.
While there's still no confirmation of the guest list, it has been announced that Timothée Chalamet would co-host, while Billie Eilish and Naomi Osaka will also join as co-chairs for the event. This year's theme is all things American fashion.
