A lucky Michigan resident won $1 million while playing Michigan Lottery's Millionaire Wild Time instant game.
According to a news release from the Michigan Lottery, 46-year-old Arnold Kleindienst bought the winning ticket from the Country Market located in Adrian, just 45 miles southwest of Ann Arbor.
"Millionaire Wild Time is my favorite game since I have been having good luck on it recently," said Kleindienst. "I work at the Country Market and purchased some tickets on my break. When I saw I'd won $1 million, I was so excited and overwhelmed."
Kleindienst decided to receive the prize money in a one-time lump-sum payment of nearly $634,000. He plans to use the money to take his family on a trip to Disney World, do some home renovations and then save what is left over.
"Winning is a great feeling! It eases stress and will make life easier," Kleindienst said.
If interested in participating in other Michigan Lotteries, the next Michigan Powerball drawing is estimated to be worth $258 million. The numbers will be pulled on Saturday, August 14, at 9:59 p.m.
The Mega Millions drawing is also this week. It has an estimated jackpot of $225 million, and the Fantasy 5 has an estimated jackpot of $172,000.
