Let's just say, Anderson .Paak is not here for posthumous music.
On Monday (August 16), the Silk Sonic singer shared a photo of his latest tattoo, which makes it very clear that he does not want his unreleased music to be shared with the world after he passes away.
“When I’m gone, please don’t release any posthumous albums or songs with my name attached,” the tattoo on his forearm reads. “Those were just demos and never intended to be heard by the public.”
In recent years, posthumous albums have grown in popularity with Juice WRLD's and Pop Smoke's posthumous albums debuting at number one on the US Billboard 200. Other artists who have had success with posthumous music include Lil Peep, XXXtentacion, Mac Miller, and DMX, to name a few.
Anderson .Paak recently released, "Skate," with Bruno Mars under their band name Silk Sonic. The track marks the pair's second single, following the release of "Leave the Door Open" — the lead track from their upcoming debut studio album, An Evening with Silk Sonic.
