A semi-truck driver was caught on camera driving erratically and refusing to let other vehicles pass it on the Turner Turnpike on Wednesday starting around 10 p.m.
“What the hell is this? It started in Tulsa. He was trying to run people off the road in Tulsa. He almost hit like three other trucks. He’s going to jail," said an unidentified driver who recorded the entire 45 minute incident and shared it on YouTube.
The video clearly shows the truck driver swerving in and out of lanes, and speeding up and slowing down to stop other cars from getting around him.
“This is something I have never seen in my life. Pull this a**hole over. I am tired of this," the man recording says.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol started following the truck after multiple people called to report the dangerous driver.
Despite having multiple troopers on his tail, the truck driver kept on driving for another 20 minutes. The chase ended when troopers used stop sticks to blow out the truck's tires.
Amazingly no one crashed or was injured during the ordeal.
“He had multiple chances to stop his vehicle in a safe area. He refused to do so. This could’ve been a lot worse," Trooper Zack Hargus told KFOR.
The driver was arrested and identified as Gilberto Ortiz of Ontario, California. Hargus said that Ortiz swallowed meth, which led to his dangerous driving.
Ortiz faces charges for endangering another person while eluding a police officer, DUI, and drug possession. He's currently being held at the Lincoln County jail.
