If you're looking for a bit of nostalgia while enjoying some drinks, food and good company, Barcade is coming to Detroit.
According to MLive, the new Barcade location will be the ninth one to open in the U.S. The bar focuses on bringing in a vintage feel by having 60 classic arcade games. Some of the games include Asteroids, Defender, Dig Dug, Donkey Kong, Frogger, Galaga, Joust, Ms. Pac Man, NBA Jam and Tron.
"There’s a lot of fun things going on in Detroit and we've always been interested in opening here," Barcade co-owner Pete Langway told MLive. "This is one of our largest locations. Because of that, we were able to get some really big games in here that we don’t have at some of our other locations, like some four-person games. Multiplayer games are very popular. People love the social games."
The bar kept all of the games at their original prices. Each game takes tokens and one token equals a quarter.
Per Barcade's website, they have over 20 beers on tap, are open daily from 5 p.m. to midnight, and happy hour is Monday - Friday from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Happy hour includes $1 off beer, wine and well drinks.
The new vintage bar is located at 666 Selden Street in Midtown Detroit.
