The Tulsa State Fair is one month away from officially getting started, and this year, organizers are hoping to make things look as normal and as close to past years as possible.
This year's fair event is set to kick off on September 30th and will run all the way through October 10th.
KTUL News Channel 8 reported that organizers are hoping to make this year's event "similar to 2019."
There are currently no official plans in place for this year's fair. Organizers are saying that everything is still in the works. But, they assure that there will be more solidified plans as the fair draws closer.
Due to the global coronavirus pandemic, last year's event was extremely modified. There were no rides, only a few food trucks, and no big shows or concerts.
Right now, organizers are expecting there to be a mask requirement if the events are outdoors. Tulsa County Commissioner Ron Peters said, "I don't anticipate that as long as outdoor events. I think indoor they probably will be but that has yet to be determined."
