Comedian and Former Detroit radio host Robert Spearman, AKA "Foolish," was severely injured in a car crash last Wednesday (August 18).

According to FOX 2, Spearman says he was headed to perform at a comedy show when he was struck by another vehicle near Joy Road. "A guy blows the yield sign going 60 or more and hits my Charger. Spins me around and leaves me for dead," he said.

Spearman added that he tried to follow the car and get the plate number, but his car was too damaged to keep up. When he pulled over, he started to notice something was off with his body. "So when I pulled over, my whole right side was paralyzed," he said in an interview. "I couldn’t even do nothing."

He was rushed to the hospital after Michigan State Troopers found him on the shoulder of the freeway and called an ambulance.

"So I had a spinal cord operation which released a lot of the tension that was going on, on the right side of my body, to where I could walk again," he told FOX 2.

Detroit has seen a lot of reckless driving lately in neighborhoods and on freeways. Spearman has asked fans to speak up about Detroit's reckless driving. "When you talk about car accidents that you can prevent, it’s the most ignorant thing I see out there on the street," he noted. "I just want people to wake up, and stop acting like this is regular. This isn't regular."

Police are looking for the suspect involved in the crash. The suspect was driving a newer model white Jeep Grand Cherokee and now has front-end damage.

Currently, Spearman is recovering at Beaumont Hospital. A GoFundMe has been set up for him. If you would like to donate, click here.
