Girl in red (real name Marie Ulven) has been taking the world by storm with her debut album if i could make it go quiet and its hit single "Serotonin," and in the process has gained some pretty famous fans.

When she first released the record this Spring, Taylor Swift took to Instagram stories to congratulate Ulven on a "spectacular" album, something the Norwegian singer-songwriter confessed she'd "never be able to recover from."

During a chat with NME at the Reading Festival, Ulven elaborated on being a Swiftie.

“I love you Taylor! She knows that very well,” she said. When asked if they've talked, the 22-year-old musician said: “Yep, I’ve exchanged words with her. I would say we are very much strangers, but I adore her and she knows I adore her. She could slit my throat and I’d still be like, ‘I love you! Don’t kill me.’”

She also received some kind words from Billie Eilish, whose brother Finneas co-produced "Serotonin."

"Billie said that the lyrics were bonkers, and that’s insane. I’m so stoked," she told NME before the album came out.

In fact, Eilish loved girl in red so much that she invited her to play support at her show in London next year.

“My manager called me up and told me that this was something we were going to do and I was like, ‘Oh my Lord!’” Ulven recalled. “I’m really stoked about that. I think it’s going to be so cool. We need to put on a really good show, not just a normal good show but something insane.”

Unfortunately, there won't be an onstage reunion with Finneas during the set. “He’ll already be playing another show, but I don’t think I’m gonna bring him out,” she said. “It’s going to be a one-off show for me, but they probably have some crazy cool ritual of taking care of themselves. I’m going to be flying home hungover, regretting everything I said. I’m going to have drunk anxiety!”
