Chicago Carjacking Attempt Botched By Barking Dog

Police are crediting a dog with fending off an attempted carjacker earlier this week.

It happened on North Cleveland Avenue in Old Town at nearly 9 p.m. on Monday night (September 27). The attempted carjacker approached the victim from a gray Dodge Charger as the victim, 41, was parking his car in a garage on that street. During the attempt to steal the car at gunpoint, the victim’s dog began to bark so much that it scared the man away, according to CBS 2 Chicago. Law enforcement officials haven’t made an arrest os of publication time on Wednesday (September 29).
