While some people love to watch horror all year round, there's something about watching something scary during the month of October.

The sun starts going down earlier and the weather starts cooling, making it the perfect time to dim the lights, get under the covers, and put on a show or movie that makes your skin crawl.

When we watch something that scares us, we experience a rush of adrenaline and a release of endorphins and dopamine, according to PyschologyToday.com. Which keeps us coming back for more.

CenturyLink Quote recently conducted a study to determine the most searched "spooky show" in each state.
