The National Weather Service has announced a Flood Watch for the San Diego area starting Thursday night (December 23) and lasting through Friday morning (December 24).
To help you be prepared, local governments are giving out free sandbags ahead of the storm.
According to NBC7, it's important to remember you'll need to fill up the sandbags yourself, so bring a shovel and proof of residency in case it's required.
You can also find tips on how to properly fill and place your sandbags for the best protection from flooding here.
