VIDEO: Man Robs Bank In La Jolla And Escapes On A Scooter

San Diego police say a Chase Bank location in La Jolla was robbed on Wednesday afternoon (January 5).

A man walked into the bank at 8807 Villa La Jolla Drive at 3:15 P.M. and demanded money from an employee.

According to FOX5, he took an unknown amount of money and left the bank.

The suspect was then seen getting onto a scooter and fleeing the scene, according to a watch commander's log written by Officer Robert Heims.

There were very few details about the incident, but police say they received the call about a person with a gun but a weapon was not actually seen.

The suspect is described as a 5-foot-8 white or Hispanic man in his 20s with brown eyes and a medium build, reports FOX5.

He was wearing a black hat, red and black flannel, dark pants, and a face mask.

Robbery detectives with the San Diego Police Department, along with the FBI are currently investigating the case.
