A canceled reality TV show is making a comeback this week — and it's unlike anything we're used to.
Farmer Wants A Wife made a splash in the early 2000s in the UK, and even tried its luck in the U.S. in 2008 but was canceled after one season. The show is regarded as "most successful dating show in the world," with international versions of the series airing in 32 countries that's resulted in 180 marriages and over 400 children, according to FOX.
The show is back in the U.S. and is set to premiere on FOX on Wednesday (March 7). Farmer Wants A Wife, hosted by Jennifer Nettles follows four farmers — Hunter Grayson of Watkinsvile, Georgia; Ryan Black of Shelby, North Carolina; Landon Heaton of Alva, Oklahoma; and Allen Foster of Williamsport, Tennessee — who host groups of single women who "leave behind the comfort and convenience of city life for the charms and challenges of country living," according to the show's description. The farmers show each group of women what it's like to work on an actual farm, including tending to the land, feeding cattle and baling hay.
"For the ladies, the reality of this way of living may beg the question: how far are you willing to go for love? Together, with the hope of finding their ever-after, they endeavor to discover the beauty, humor, trials and romance that come with finding the one," FOX said in its description.
