Former President Donald Trump's campaign team announced it raised a record $34.8 million in the hours following since his guilty verdict in a Manhattan hush money trial on Thursday (May 30).

The one-day total is reportedly nearly double the biggest day ever recorded for the Trump campaign and the WinRed platform, the Trump team said in an email received and shared by Axios national political correspondent Alex Thompson on Friday (May 31).

“From just minutes after the sham trial verdict was announced, our digital fundraising system was overwhelmed with support, and despite temporary delays online because of the amount of traffic, President Trump raised $34.8 million dollars from small dollar donors," said Trump Campaign Senior Advisors Chris LaCivita and Susie Wiles. "Not only was the amount historic, but 29.7% of yesterday’s donor’s were brand new donors to the WinRed platform. President Trump and our campaign are immensely grateful from this outpouring of support from patriots across our country. President Trump is fighting to save our nation and November 5th is the day Americans will deliver the real verdict."

The former president was found guilty on all 34 counts for forging business records to hide hush money payments made to adult film star Stormy Daniels in an effort to keep their alleged affair quiet during his successful 2016 presidential campaign. Trump is scheduled for sentencing on July 11 and could face up to 20 years in prison.

The presumed Republican presidential candidate immediately returned to the campaign trail and issued a warning for President Biden following what he referred to as a "rigged, disgraceful trial" following the court's decision.

“Crooked Joe Biden and the Democrats confined President Trump to a courtroom for more than eight hours a day for more than six weeks, and he’s still winning,” Trump campaign spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt said in a statement to FOX News. “Now that he is fully back on the campaign trail, Biden and the Democrats better buckle up.”
