Imagine Dragons' songs are their children, and they simply can't pick a favorite.

The band discussed the ranking of their music during a virtual iHeartRadio Album Listening Party, revealing that it's nearly impossible to set one song apart from the next based on how much or how little they favor it.

When asked where they would rank "Lonely" with the other songs in their Mercury - Act 1 album, lead singer Dan Reynolds explained that the ranking of each single depends on the reaction it gets from the audience and the mood of the band at the time it is performed.

Guitarist Wayne Sermon candidly compared their singles to having children.

"Choosing a favorite song is like choosing a favorite kid, but there is a twist like you don't have a favorite, it's just your favorite changes from day to day. I have three kids so I think all the parents can understand. It's just, you know, a cycle. I don't know if that's just being an egomaniac but we've never had a song that I've disliked or would rank at the bottom of anything."
