Queen lost Freddie Mercury in 1991, but the band itself did not end.

The beloved legend was "replaced" by Adam Lambert in 2011, and the star has carried on Mercury's spirit (present throughout the entire Queen concert experience to this day) ever since.

Bandmates Brian May, Roger Taylor, and Lambert sat down with Jim Kerr of iHeartRadio ICONS to discuss how Lambert channels Mercury in each show and how organic of a fit he was for the band. While he has huge shoes to fill and still experiences his fair share of nerves, Lambert revealed that he saw his moment to shine at their very first full-length show together, and seized it to the best of his ability.

"I definitely have my fair share of nerves and doubts you know. I put on a good poker face. So you know I think the first full-length gig we did...I will say that at that point in my life I had a lot of theater experience and training and I was like 'well ok this is your moment to just do what you do' and I did my best."
