Demi Moore took "black tie affair" to the next level at the 2025 Met Gala.

The Substance star wowed in a black and white striped Thome Brown gown that gave the appearance of an actual men's necktie, especially when viewed with the trailing train, according to Vogue. The look included a knot at the bust and a structural top that circled around the top of her head that completed the illusion. Moore paired the look with diamond earrings, bejeweled wrist cuffs, an updo and pumps.

Aside from the unique style, the Ghost actress's look was incredibly detailed. The gown, which took more than 7,600 hours to make, was covered in more than 1.4 million beads, including 22,000 pieces of black rectangle sequins,103,500 pieces of black cut beans and more than 1 million pieces of black bugle beads.

The theme for the 2025 Met Gala is "Superfine: Tailoring Black Style," coinciding with the Costume Institute's new spring exhibition which was inspired by Monica L. Miller's 2009 book Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity. Guests are encouraged to follow the dress code "Tailored For You," which Vogue notes is a reference to the exhibit's focus on menswear and is "purposefully designed to provide guidance and invite creative interpretation."

Alongside Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, this year's event, which is a benefit for the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute, is co-chaired by rapper A$AP Rocky, actor Colman Domingo, F1 driver Lewis Hamilton and producer Pharrell Williams as well as NBA star LeBron James as an honorary co-chair.
