Future stunned fans after he debuted a brand-new hairdo at the Met.

On Monday night, May 5, the Atlanta native looked unrecognizable as he walked the blue carpet at the 2025 Met Gala in New York City. Pluto ditched his signature dreads and rocked short, golden twists. The fresh look generated plenty of shocked reactions from fans on social media and jokes from trolls. Some people actually liked Future's new look. However, other haters compared his hair to Wanda Sykes and Chucky's son Glen.

"If I ever cut my dreads, I hope they look just like Future’s at the Met Gala," one fan wrote.

Future was one of several artists who rocked outfits made by Louis Vuitton. Pharrell Williams, LV's Men’s Creative Director and co-chair of the 2025 Met Gala, recruited a fleet of celebrities to become House Ambassadors for the event. Future repped the luxury fashion brand alongside Doechii, Pusha T, Sabrina Carpenter, Lisa of BLACKPINK, Jeremy Allen White, Callum Turner, Henry Taylor, and Malcolm Washington. Pharrell held an after-party for the Met hosted by Kai Cenat. Pluto met the popular streamer at the event and told him he wants to appear on his livestream.

Pluto's new hairstyle comes shortly after he joined Young Thug on his new single "Money On Money." Thugger and Future also teamed up for the official music video. JAY-Z and Kanye West apparently inspired the duo as they recreated scenes from the "Otis" music video. The song is expected to appear on Thug's upcoming album Uy Scuti. There's no word on the release date just yet, but word on the street is it might drop on May 9. If true, the album would drop exactly three years after Young Thug was arrested in connection with the YSL RICO case.
