Have you visited the most "boring" tourist trap in all of Minnesota?
Because "boring" can mean something different to every traveler, this destination is admired by some and detested by others.
Tourists often choose destinations based on elements they think will fascinate them, only to arrive and find a place very different from what they initially anticipated.
Be it distinctive history or sheer popularity, something about this well-known Minnesota location drew people in, and they walked away with an experience far from what they imagined. Some are disappointed with their experience, and others are interested and cannot wait to tell their friends and family.
According to a list compiled by Cheapism, the most overrated tourist destination in Minnesota is The Mall of America in Bloomington.
Here's what Cheapism had to say about the most "boring" tourist destination in the entire state:
"The Mall of America attracts 40 million visitors in a typical year with chain stores that most people probably have near their hometowns. Some of the biggest draws have high prices: $52 for a day at Nickelodeon Universe, around $39 at the aquarium, and $30 a person for the Crayola Experience. One saving grace: No tax on clothing in Minnesota."
