Snoop Dogg fires shots at Suge Knight on his new album amid their growing feud.
On Friday, May 16, the current Death Row Records owner dropped his surprise album Iz It A Crime? The album has 21 tracks, including one banger that's got everyone talking. On "ShutYoB***hAssUp," Snoop goes in on Knight without even mentioning his name.
"I can see why you mad/I bought everything you own." Snoop raps. "Now you in PC snitching on the phone/It's a time and a place/Cause I really ain't got one rhyme to waste/But I can slap the taste out your muthaf**king mouth."
WARNING: EXPLICIT LANGUAGE
"Waiting for you to get home so we can get the s**t on," he continues. "I stayed up n***a, paid up n***a/Your jailhouse stories, they made up n***a/One day on Monday you'll catch a stray."
Snoop hit back at Knight after the imprisoned music executive made several disparaging comments about him over the years in interviews from behind bars. Their issues escalated in 2022 after Snoop bought Death Row Records from MNRK Music Group. During an phone interview with The Art of Dialogue earlier this year, Knight claimed Snoop was only able to buy Death Row after it was forfeited to MNRK in a default judgment in 2013, and accused him and his business partner, Michael "Harry O" Harris, of committing bankruptcy fraud to make the purchase.
“This n***a [won’t] stop talking about me mad cuz I own Death Row," Snoop wrote in an Instagram comment. "I realize your real lies.”
Suge Knight is serving a 28-year prison sentence for voluntary manslaughter charges after he caused Terry Carter's death in 2015. Knight recently settled with Carter's family to avoid a trial over a civil lawsuit they filed against him. He agreed to pay $1.5 million to Carter's widow and two daughters. He will pay them $500,000 each.
Snoop Dogg's new album also features fresh collaborations with Sexyy Red, Pharrell Williams, dEnAuN, October London, Wiz Khalifa, LaRussell and more. Listen to Iz It A Crime? on iHeartRadio now!
