Fivio Foreign has entered a plea four months after he was locked up for allegedly threatening a woman with a weapon in New Jersey.
According to a report TMZ published on Tuesday, May 27, the New York native pleaded guilty to third-degree terroristic threats. Fivio was previously charged with four other offenses, including unlawful possession of a weapon and aggravated assault. His attorney, Adam Lustberg, said the "Big Drip" rapper agreed to plead to the sole charge ahead of his sentencing, where he hopes to get probation. His other charges will most likely be dropped in exchange for his guilty plea.
For the unfamiliar, Fivio Foreign was arrested and booked into a New Jersey jail on January 18 for allegedly pointing a gun at a woman on New Year's Day. The woman had asked if Fivio could help jumpstart her car at an apartment complex in Edgewater. She told police the rapper aimed a gun at her and said, "If I see you parked in front of this building again there is going to be a f**king problem."
At the time, Lustberg believed the case was weak because police never discovered a gun on Fivio. However, authorities reportedly obtained surveillance video from the apartment complex and confirmed the woman's story. Police arrested the 34-year-old artist and charged him with five offenses, including aggravated assault, illegal possession of a weapon, and making terroristic threats.
Fivio Foreign is scheduled to be sentenced in August.
