Skilla Baby Performs In A Sling Just Two Days After Being Shot In Detroit

Skilla Baby, a rapper who had been struck with several bullets during a targeted drive-by shooting last week, hit the stage just two days later like nothing ever happened.

The Crack Music artist joined his homie 42 Dugg during a concert at the Masonic Temple in Detroit on Saturday, May 24. Fans were shocked when Skilla Baby walked out on stage with a mic in one hand and his bandaged arm in a blue sling. Despite his visible injuries, the 26-year-old rapper performed a few songs with plenty of energy and shouted out Dugg before he left the stage.

Skilla Baby was back outside within the first 48 hours after he was caught up in a drive-by shooting in his hometown. Police say the rapper was driving in the area of 8 Mile and Beech Daly while in the backseat of a black SUV when a barrage of bullets struck the vehicle. The SUV crashed into the side of a building.

The rapper, born Trevon Gardner, was shot in the leg and hand. Two bullets also grazed the back of his head. He was rushed to a nearby hospital and clearly made a speedy recovery.

Police said Skill Baby was the intended target in the shooting. The suspect immediately fled the scene after the shooting and has not yet been identified. Police are still on the hunt for the shooter.
