Nelly and Ashanti are finally ready to tell their love story in their upcoming reality series.
On Thursday, June 12, Peacock dropped the first trailer for the couple's new TV show, "Nelly & Ashanti: We Belong Together." According to the synopsis, the episodic reality series "follows the electrifying journey of this beloved couple as they reignite their love, navigate the ups and downs of newlywed life and the challenges of parenthood while juggling their thriving careers." Nelly and Ashanti will rehash each chapter of their story from their on-and-off relationship in the early 2000s to their recent marriage.
Nelly and Ashanti first got together in 2003, but they parted ways in 2013 following a nasty breakup. Both superstar artists spent a decade doing their own thing until they crossed each other's paths again during Fat Joe and Ja Rule's Verzuz in 2021. The couple officially rekindled their romance in 2022 and officially announced their relationship a year later.
Their relationship went into overdrive a few months later. Fans suspected Ashanti was pregnant with Nelly's child toward the end of 2023 after a video of Nelly rubbing Ashanti's belly went viral online. A few months later, the "Baby" singer officially confirmed the couple was married and expecting their first child together. Their son, Kareem Kenkaide Haynes, was born on July 18, 2024.
Fans will get to go behind the scenes of their nuptials and other rare moments in their relationship once the show debuts on June 26. Watch the trailer below.
