Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem Taken To Hospital

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem was transported by ambulance to a hospital in Washington, D.C., on Tuesday (June 17), according to two sources familiar with the situation. Noem was conscious upon arrival and has communicated with her security detail, as reported by CNN.

The Department of Homeland Security said that Noem suffered an allergic reaction and is recovering.

“Secretary Noem had an allergic reaction today. She was transported to the hospital out of an abundance of caution. She is alert and recovering,” said DHS spokeswoman Tricia McLaughlin.

No other details about the situation were released.
