Soulja Boy is picking up the pieces after thieves ransacked his store and got away with some rare items.
According to a report published by TMZ on Monday, July 7, the rapper's flagship SODMG store on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles was burglarized. The thieves used bolt cutters to unlock the gates and smashed through the all-glass front door to gain access to the store. Once inside, they allegedly swiped an array of exclusive merchandise including ne-of-a-kind Bearbricks, hats, shirts and hoodies. They also left with Soulja Boy's custom made leather jacket and his PlayStation.
As you can see in the footage above, there was glass all over the front of the store. The entrance was also covered with a few graffiti tags, which only added to the extensive list of damages. In total, the thieves caused at least $25,000 worth of damage. As a result, the rapper has hired 24-hour security at the store.
Soulja Boy's SODMG brick-and-mortar store is the artist's official merch emporium where fans can find apparel, accessories, home items and more inspired by the rapper's brand. SB recently celebrated the grand opening of his store's new location on Melrose back in January. Last month, the "She Make It Clap" rapper even boasted about being the "first rapper to park a Lambo in front of his store" and posted the proof to his Instagram timeline.
As of this report, police are still investigating the incident. No arrests have been made yet.
