Brad Pitt Demands Private Messages From Ex Angelina Jolie Amid Legal Battle

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie finalized their divorce in December 2024, but remain entangled in an ongoing legal dispute.

According to People, the former pair, who share children Maddox, 23, Pax, 21, Zahara, 20, Shiloh, 18, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 16, are still at odds over the sale of their French winery (Château Miraval) to Stoli Group's wine division, Tenute del Mondo.

The Maria actress sold her half of the winery in 2021, and one year later, Pitt filed a lawsuit against her for going through with the sale "despite a prior agreement that neither would do so unless the other person approved."

Jolie responded to the lawsuit, explaining that the Once Upon a Time in Hollywood actor had been extremely "vindictive" towards her since she filed for divorce in 2016, and that the lawsuit was further proof.

According to the latest legal documents, Pitt has requested that private text messages between Jolie and Alexey Oliynik, an executive at Stoli Group, be made public, arguing that Oliynik was aware of the sale and Jolie "acted with malice."

"These requests go directly to key allegations about Pitt’s objections to the sale. Easily meet the standard for discoverability given Pitt’s allegations that Jolie acted with malice in selling to Stoli, a counterparty she knew Pitt opposed," Pitt's legal team explained in the filings.
