The New York Jets and wide receiver Garrett Wilson have reportedly reached an agreement on a four-year, $130 million contract extension, which includes $90 million guaranteed, sources with knowledge of the situation confirmed to ESPN's Adam Schefter on Monday (July 14).

The reported extension will make Wilson the first wide receiver in NFL history to earn an annual salary of more than $31 million after only playing three seasons.

"ESPN sources: Jets and wide receiver Garrett Wilson reached agreement on a four-year, $130 million contract extension that includes $90 million guaranteed. It marks the first time in NFL history that a receiver has received an average over $31 million after playing only three seasons. Wilson now will be under contract the next six seasons, through 2030. Agents Jeff Nalley and Graylan Crain of CAA negotiated the deal with Jets executives Nick Sabella and Darren Mougey," Schefter wrote on his X account.

Wilson, 24, was selected by the Jets at No. 10 overall in the 2022 NFL Draft and was the 2022 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year, with teammate Ahmad 'Sauce' Gardner winning the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year award that same year. The Chicago native recorded career-bests in receptions (101), receiving yards (1,104) and touchdowns (7) in 2024.
