Machine Gun Kelly has racked up a list of acting credits to his name, cementing his status as more than just a musician, but there was one film role he turned down recently that meant he missed out on one of the biggest movies of the year.

During a recent appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, mgk revealed that he turned down the chance to audition for "the second vampire" in Sinners, a blockbuster horror film directed by Ryan Coogler and starring Michael B. Jordan set in the 1930s Mississippi Delta that hit theaters in April, because he would have had to say the N-word, per The Hollywood Reporter.

"There's been plenty of movies that come out that I'm like, ah, I was supposed to be in that, or I did auditions for that. Like Sinners, I was supposed to be in that," he said. "The vampire, they had me set up to do the audition — it's the one that's in the house, so he's the second vampire, the one that the guy comes and eats the family. In the audition, he has to say the N-word and I wouldn't do it."

While the role wasn't ultimately a good fit for the "Emo Girl" artist, mgk still has "a lot of aspirations to be in movies," joking that he would "really like to be recruited into a movie while I still got some looks." However, he knows it's all about "universal timing," noting that "the angels will put something in the works" where everything will "align" at the right time.
